1. Purpose
These terms set out the conditions for using the moa app and related services ("the service") provided by Suralab ("we"), and the rights and duties of both sides.
2. What the service does
Recording meetings, live transcription and translation, summaries, decisions and to-dos after a meeting, remarks for reference during a meeting
Optional features: a moa account, plans (subscriptions), online backup, connecting outside assistant services, calendar, recording on Apple Watch
Recordings and notes are stored on your iPhone. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts
The core features work without signing in. A plan, online backup and connected assistants need a moa account created with Apple or Google.
You must be at least 14 to create an account. An account is for its holder alone, and you look after your sign-in details.
You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings. Deleting it removes everything on the server at once, and this cannot be undone.
4. Plans and payment
There are Free, Basic and Pro plans, which differ in the meeting minutes available each month. Basic and Pro are monthly auto-renewable subscriptions through the App Store.
Prices and periods are shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple account when the purchase is confirmed, and the subscription renews on the same terms unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the next billing date.
You manage and cancel subscriptions under Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your iPhone. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the current period.
Refunds follow Apple's App Store policies and procedures. We never receive your payment details.
The Free plan's minutes refill on the 1st of every month. When they run out, transcription and notes stop while recording continues.
5. Your duties
Tell the people you record and obtain any consent required before recording a conversation. Recording laws differ by country and region, and complying with them is your responsibility.
Do not use the service to break the law or infringe the rights of others, bypass its security, or disrupt it with excessive requests.
When you connect an outside assistant service, that service reads your backup. Connecting and disconnecting it is your decision and responsibility.
6. Your content
What you record and the notes made from it belong to you. We process that content only as far as providing the service requires, and never use it for other purposes or show it to anyone else.
7. AI output
Transcripts, translations, summaries, decisions, to-dos and remarks are generated automatically for reference. They can mishear, leave things out or
summarize differently. Check important decisions and commitments against the original conversation and recording. We do not warrant that the
output is accurate or complete.
8. Changes and interruptions
We may change the service or discontinue parts of it, and will give notice of changes that matter to you. Maintenance, incidents and the
circumstances of outside services (transcription, AI, payment) may interrupt the service for a time.
9. Ending the agreement
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app or your account. If you breach these terms, we may restrict your use or end the
agreement after giving notice, or at once where a breach of law is evident.
10. Limitation of liability
We provide the service as is. We are not liable for loss caused by events beyond our control such as natural disasters, network failures or the
failure of outside services, for loss of data stored on your device, or for loss caused by relying on AI output as such. We remain liable under
applicable law for loss caused by our intent or gross negligence. Mandatory consumer protection law prevails over these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms within the limits of applicable law. Changed terms are announced in the app or on this page 7 days before they take
effect, or 30 days before for changes that are to your disadvantage. Continuing to use the service afterwards counts as accepting them.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. Please raise any dispute with [email protected] first so we
can try to settle it in good faith; otherwise it is heard by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
These terms take effect on October 18, 2026.
These terms are available in Korean and English. If the two versions read differently, the Korean version governs.
