Connect moa to Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants
Server address https://mcp.moa.codes · read-only · questions to [email protected]
In short. moa runs an MCP server. Connect it and your assistant can read the meeting notes and transcripts
you backed up, answer questions about them and quote the moments it relied on. It can only read: nothing is written, changed or deleted through
the connector.
Before you start
Install moa on your iPhone and sign in with a moa account (Apple or Google).
Turn on Online Backup under Settings → Backup and Assistants. Only backed-up meetings can be read; the backup is text, never audio.
Record or summarize at least one meeting, so there is something to read.
Claude
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Enter the name moa and the server address https://mcp.moa.codes, exactly as written (no trailing slash), then connect.
A moa page opens with a six-digit code. On your iPhone, open moa → Settings → Connected Apps → Connect with a code, enter the code and tap Allow.
The page continues on its own and Claude is connected. Codes expire after 10 minutes.
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http moa https://mcp.moa.codes, then sign in the same way when it asks.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors and create a connector (developer mode) with the address https://mcp.moa.codes and OAuth authentication.
Approve the six-digit code in moa on your iPhone, as above.
Once moa is listed in the ChatGPT directory, the same connection is one click away there.
What the assistant can read
Tool
What it returns
list_meetings
The meetings, newest first, with their summaries
get_meeting
One meeting's notes: summary, decisions, to-dos, people and topics, moa's remarks
get_transcript
Who said what, with timestamps (only with the transcripts permission)
search_meetings
Full-text search over titles, notes and transcripts
list_wiki_pages
The people, projects, companies and topics moa keeps pages about
get_wiki_page
What moa knows about one of them across meetings
get_account_info
How much is backed up and what this connection may read
search / fetch
The pair ChatGPT uses: search returns meetings, fetch returns one in full
When you allow a connection you choose between meeting notes (summaries, decisions, to-dos, wiki) and notes and full transcripts.
Notes come back in the language the meeting was held in.
Things to ask
“What did we decide in yesterday's meeting?”
“List the open to-dos from this week's meetings, with who owns each.”
“Find the meeting where the onboarding redesign came up and summarize it.”
“What do my notes say about Mia?”
“In the Q3 priorities meeting, quote the moment the launch date was discussed.”
Your data
Read-only. The connector has no tool that writes, edits or deletes anything.
Each assistant gets its own token, limited to the scope you allowed. Nothing else on your account is reachable through it.
Disconnect any time in moa → Settings → Connected Apps (swipe left). The assistant stops reading at once.
Recordings never reach the server; only the text you chose to back up. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Troubleshooting
“No connection is waiting for this code.” The code expired (10 minutes) or was mistyped. Start the connection again in the assistant and enter the new code.
The assistant finds no meetings. Online Backup is off, or the backup has not caught up yet. Open moa, check Settings → Backup and Assistants, and wait for “Last backup” to update.
“The token is not valid; connect moa again.” The connection was disconnected in the app, or the server address changed. Remove the connector in the assistant and connect again.
The assistant reports an invalid server. Check the address: https://mcp.moa.codes, https, no path, no trailing slash.
Reviewing moa for a directory?
The approval page has a section For reviewers. The passphrase from our submission approves the connection for a demo
account that holds sample meetings, with no iPhone needed. Write to [email protected] if anything is in the way.
